Product Details

Manufactured in Tacoma, Washington, in 2002, this Tacoma M3E Mandolin features a solid Spruce top, solid Flamed Maple back and sides, and a factory-installed pickup. Its gorgeous Curly Maple neck sports a radiused fingerboard with jumbo frets, and it plays beautifully and frets clean all the way up the neck. It has a solid Ebony bridge and gold hardware, and classy Ivoroid binding around the neck and the body. There are not many American-made mandolins of this quality at this price-point, and with its less traditional, guitar-influenced design this would be a fantastic plug-and-play mandolin for the stage, especially if stage volume causes feedback issues with other instruments.

Overall, this 2002 Tacoma M3E Mandolin shows minimal signs of playwear and use for its age, but its previous owner once used black electrical tape to black out the "Tacoma" logo on the headstock. Bad idea. The adhesive on the electrical tape reacted with the finish and pulled the finish off of the logo, but it is otherwise in excellent cosmetic condition. Original hard case included.
